By creating an account or using Zone Hunt, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the app. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data: these Terms cover everything else, including how the game works, your responsibilities as a player, and the limits of our liability.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm you meet this requirement.
Zone Hunt sends you to real-world locations to hide, seek, and move around during a game. You are solely responsible for choosing where you go and how you play. Zone Hunt doesn't select, inspect, or endorse any specific location, and has no way to know what's private property, restricted, hazardous, or otherwise off-limits in your area.
You agree that you will not, while playing or otherwise using the app:
Choose play areas you and everyone in your game are actually allowed to be in. If in doubt, don't go there.
Zone Hunt involves real-world physical activity, moving around outdoors, sometimes at pace, sometimes with your attention on your phone rather than your surroundings. This carries inherent risks: traffic, uneven terrain, weather, other people, and ordinary hazards of being outside. By playing, you accept these risks and agree that you're responsible for your own safety and the safety of anyone you invite to play. Stay aware of your surroundings, especially while looking at your phone.
You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for anything that happens under it. One account per person: don't create accounts to get around a free-game limit or any other restriction (see our Privacy Policy for how we detect this). Give us accurate information when you sign up.
Don't use Zone Hunt to harass, threaten, or endanger other players; cheat or exploit bugs to gain an unfair advantage; impersonate someone else; or use the app for anything illegal. Chat messages sent during a game should be appropriate for the people playing with you. We can remove content or suspend accounts that violate this.
Game credits and the Pro subscription are purchased through the App Store and billed by Apple under their own terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; manage or cancel anytime in your iPhone's Settings. Purchased game credits don't expire, and (except where required by law or Apple's own refund policies) purchases are final.
Zone Hunt is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Location accuracy, network connectivity, and device performance are outside our control and can affect gameplay.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zone Hunt and its developer are not liable for any injury, property damage, trespassing claim, legal violation, or other harm arising from your use of the app or your choice of where and how to play. This includes harm caused by your own actions, another player's actions, or a third party (including property owners or law enforcement). Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, if any.
You agree to indemnify and hold Zone Hunt and its developer harmless from any claim, damage, or expense (including legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third party's rights (including trespassing) while playing.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, including the location and conduct rules above. You can delete your own account at any time from Settings.
If these Terms change in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
